Project scope
Each project is based on the agreed package, quote, and written requirements. Additional work, extra pages, new features, or major direction changes may require a separate quote.
Payment
Projects normally require a deposit before work starts and final payment before launch or handover. Invoices and payment details are confirmed in writing before work begins.
Client content and feedback
Clients are responsible for providing agreed content, images, branding, and feedback in a timely way. Delays in content or feedback may extend timelines.
Ownership and licences
After full payment, the client owns the completed website files and content supplied for the project, subject to any third-party tools, fonts, images, or services with their own licences. HCWEB may show non-confidential work as part of a portfolio unless agreed otherwise.
Hosting, domains, and maintenance
Hosting, domain registration, and ongoing maintenance are optional unless they are included in the agreed quote. Monthly care plans can be added or cancelled after launch.
Cancellation and refunds
Either party can end a project before launch with reasonable written notice. Deposits cover work already done and are non-refundable once design or build work has started. Unused portions of paid work are handled in good faith on a case-by-case basis.
Liability
HCWEB is not liable for indirect, consequential, or business-loss damages arising from website use, downtime, hosting issues, or third-party service failures. Total liability is limited to amounts paid for the relevant project.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled in good faith, and where needed, in the appropriate South African forum.
